I am a Front End developer having come from a Design and Multimedia background and am capable of taking full responsibility for individual projects with minimal supervision or working in a team environment.

I code to W3C Standards and understand the concepts of usability, accessibility & search engine optimization and am comfortable using version control software like Git, Subversion, Mercurial and Visual SourceSafe.

I am well versed in HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, XML & Flash/Flex (ActionScript 1,2,3) and use AJAX, JavaScript and libraries like jQuery, jQuery mobile, MooTools and Apache Velocity on a daily basis.

Some of the more recent skills I’m using more frequently are PHP MVC frameworks like CodeIgnitor, WordPress (creating child themes and custom themes) and templating engines as well as mySql, sqlLite and Social Networking API’s.

Other areas of interest where I am actively experimenting with are Ruby, NodeJS, Symphony, Android Developer Toolkit, Android Studio, IOS Development (X-Code) and many more…

In a nutshell, with regard to my varied experience in development, design and the IT industry I am a good all-rounder, having a stable knowledge of electronics, networking and computer hardware and software issues which I find an advantage when communicating with colleagues and allowing me to tackle common IT problems myself, passionate about IT, enjoy challenges and always look forward to acquiring new skills.
